A look into our future?




The movie “Her” talks about a guy named Theodore, he has been in the process of divorcing for almost a year when he buys a communicative computer. In the course of the movie he starts to fall in love with it. "Her” is a movie that shows what could become of human interactions if a machine started to develop “feelings” and ideas of its own. I think it is a dangerous line that seems really near on our future and we shouldn't be crossing it. 

When I was watching the movie I couldn't help but notice how similar it is to other one called “Bicentennial man” in order of how evolved machines can become in the future, in both movies the machine begins as something that has been created to help the humans solely, but through the movie it begins to realize how much
 potential it really has and decides to make changes and grow as much as possible on its own.

Both of them have different endings, though. So it's important to say that we couldn't tell which would become true soon, but it is completely impossible to say that the possibilities proposed here are far-fetched and something like this would never happen, because it is indeed going to happen, and if I'm very honest, it's quite terrifying.

    Hello Dani,
    Please be careful with the spelling of the verbs, there is a little mistake. Also, take a look at the position of the adverb 'solely'.
    I completely agree with you, it IS terrifying but already happening. Great job!

Edgar Allan Poe’s book “The Black Cat and Other Stories” is composed by The Black Cat, The Oval Portrait, Berenice and The Mask of the Red Death. Four stories full of scares, murder and mystery, and main characters who seem to be losing their mind in different ways. The stories I have decided to compare are the first three with a book named Cujo, another one called The picture of Dorian Grey and a character from the second season of American Horror Story. The Black Cat is a story about a man who lives with his wife and his animals, they have many different kind of animals, but his favorite is a black cat. Not a very interesting vacation, but a vacation nowadays.

My vacation were not really interesting, if I am honest, what I did the most was  resting and relaxing. I watched many movies and TV shows I wanted to watch from a long time ago, my new favorite so far is one called House M.D. I also read a lot of books that I already had but never got the chance to read. Some weeks in December, my dad, sisters, and I did some "remodeling" on some old furniture in my house. It was extremely exhausting but it totally worth it. For Christmas and New year's eve we went to my grandmother's place where we celebrate with the whole family, it's kind of a traditional thing in my family. The most exciting thing we did was going to Melgar for two days before my parents vacation ended, we had a good time and I was glad the weather was not very hot those days. These last few weeks, I had been getting bored, so I am glad I am studying again. My family and I celebrating christmas.
